I finally felt well enough to do a little genealogy. My Cleff line has to wait until I get to the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, so I've been looking at my Seidelmann line. The Seidelmann's came over in the mid- to late-1850s. Although I did not spend much time researching today, I found the parents of Magdalena Sauer (John's mother, she's my great-great grandmother) by looking at each of his siblings. I am still looking for the family's place of origination and their immigration information.
